Integrated Accessibility Standards


Symbiotic Group Inc has developed integrated accessibility standards that cover employment standards, information standards and communication standards. These policies have been developed to break down barriers and increase accessibility for persons with disability in the areas of information, communication and employment. Symbiotic Group is governed by this policy and Ontario provincial legislation in meeting the accessibility needs of persons with disability.

Our Commitment

Symbiotic Group Inc is committed to treating all people in a way that allows them to maintain their dignity and independence; we believe in integration and equal opportunity. We are committed to meeting the needs of persons with disabilities in a timely manner, and will do so by preventing and removing barriers to accessibility and meeting accessibility requirements under the Ontario provincial legislation.

Training Staff Members

Symbiotic Group Inc will ensure that training is provided on the requirements of the accessibility standards as legislated and will continue to provide training on the Human Rights Code as it pertains to persons with disabilities, to:

All its employees (Summer/Co-Op Students, Interns, Casual workers);

All persons who participate in developing Symbiotic Group’s policies; and

All other persons who provide goods, services or facilities on behalf of the company.

The training will be appropriate to the duties of our staff. When there are changes to the accessibility policy, employees will be updated and re-trained accordingly. New employees will be trained during their on boarding process. Symbiotic Group will keep a record of the training it provides.

AODA

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) was designed to remove barriers to all Ontarians with any form of disability.

Policy on Employment Equity and Diversity

The Symbiotic Group is committed to providing quality services by establishing a qualified workforce that reflects the diverse population of the market it serves.   • Policy on Sustainability

    Symbiotic Group Inc recognizes environmental protection as one of our guiding principles and a key component of sound business performance. We are committed to providing quality consulting and management services in a manner that ensures a safe and healthy workplace for our employees and minimizes our potential impact on the environment. We will operate in compliance will all relevant federal, provincial, and municipal environmental legislation and we will strive to use pollution prevention and environmental best practices in all we do.

  • f. Symbiotic Group will avoid unnecessary use of hazardous materials and products, seek substitutions when feasible, and take all reasonable steps to protect human health and the environment when such materials must be used, stored and disposed of.

Where possible, Symbiotic Group will purchase and use environmentally responsible products that have been selected based on criteria including low toxicity or environmental hazard, durability, use of recycled materials, reduced energy and/or water consumption reduced packaging and ability to be recycled, refilled or refurbished at end of life.

  • h. Where required by legislation or where significant health, safety or environmental hazards exist, Symbiotic Group will develop and maintain appropriate emergency and spill response programs.

  • i. Symbiotic Group regularly communicate our environmental program to our staff, clients, customers and the public and encourage them to support it.

  • j. Symbiotic Group will strive to continually improve our environmental performance by periodically reviewing our environmental policy in light of our current and planned future activities.

Symbiotic Group reserves the right to change passwords at any time to protect the security of our site. We require that you keep confidential the password you select for accessing our site.     Surveys

    From time to time, our online surveys ask visitors for contact information and demographic information. We use contact data from our surveys to send the user information about our company.     Disclosure of Employee Information

    We do not disclose your information to anyone unless authorized by you, including personal information, resume information, email addresses, information about your visits to the site, etc. We may disclose statistical information gathered as a whole (eg. Total number of job-seekers, total number of IT job seekers), but never disclose information on an individual basis.
